“A Love So True” is the Swedish garagepopband Jangle Town‘s first official release. 60’s pop melodies bruised by the intensity from Garage and Punk. Tambourines, reverb and spontaneous yelps colored most of the songs the band rehearsed and has been given even more room since the startup in 2016.
“This is how we sound I guess. You can’t mold a band just by talking. We want to sound like Exile On Main Street featuring Iggy and Tom Petty. Who doesn’t? But that’s a pretty big target so anything goes really. We admire how newer bands like Twin Peaks reinvent rock’n roll and make it sound like their generation discovered it. That kind of joy, nerve and presence in music is what we wanna be all about. To have our singer Markus acting out vocally like a drunk on a karaoke stage, whilst singing the song, gives us some of that nerve and presence”.
The lyrics deal with the possible insight after an ended relationship. When you start analyzing what went wrong. The hangover of love maybe.
“A Love So True” is available for streaming and download across all digital platforms by March 9, 2018.
