Not A Citizen is Cristobal Jimenez Van Cauwelaert‘s brainchild – a multi-instrumentalist and producer, whose influences stretch between two continents. The project evolved from bedroom beat making to becoming a full live band after moving to London from Chile in 2014. The sound that defines Not A Citizen is a daring mix of sampled hip hop drum breaks, jazz chords and Latin guitars, along with psychedelic vocals; all influenced by the UK’s DIY and lo-fi scene, and South America’s breathtaking landscapes.
Today he releases his new single “Floating Away” via Some Other Planet Records.
