Global music-inspired collective Bloomerangs released their tuneful second album, Moments and Fragments, last month via Instru Dash Mental Records.
Moments and Fragments crystallizes what the jazz-inflected ensemble is all about, spreading the love of jazz is all its forms. Because jazz is a musical exploration and expression that’s not tied down to specific rules and attitudes.
The members of the group roam freely through varied sonic pastures on the LP, from free jazz fluidity and Latin-inspired arrangements to calming ambience and grunge-tinged fuzz.
Rodrigo Cotelo is the outfit’s music director and guitarist, and he led the production of the album along with composer and drummer Chris Parker. Moments and Fragments also showcases Stefan Lenthe (bass) and Clay Wulbrecht (piano).
Keep up with Bloomerangs
