“Alone”, released on January 31st 2020 on Innsbruck-based SuperPlus Records, is a both sweet and dense song, oscillating between new wave and shoegaze.
It’s a story of sadness, based on a real situation: I met a Russian girl in Prague – tells Alex – we were laughing & drinking and she looked happy, but in several weeks, she started to sent a crazy messages, so finally, she were diagnosed with schizophrenia and then she was past to Russia, unfortunately, she was alone and nobody controlled her health & mental condition. She was placed in a cheapest free hospital with this diagnose and I tried to help her, in the beginning just tried to support her with Facebook communications & sending her a films and music, then I tried to find a proper doctor for her, and even found. But it was too late – she was already poisoned with all this “killing mind and body” medicines. Afterwards, she stopped to communicate. I lost a connection.
Now based in Bratislava, Alex Kelman’s musical output is a mixture of beautifully noisy guitars, catchy dance beats and arresting synths, layered with captivating vocals. Since 2015 Alex Kelman released 2 full albums, played over 200 shows all around clubs and festivals in Europe, Russia and China, South America.
