Difficult task to fully describe the many facets of multi-instrumentalist and experimental electronic artist Kevin Follet. Its origins are founded in Verona, a charming town in northern Italy so dear to William Shakespeare, where in 1992 a young KF began to take its first steps in the world of electronic music. His path was the most varied and complex: first DJ, then producer, drummer, keyboard player, sound designer and only recently also “builder” of electroacoustic instruments.
His music can be defined as “crepuscular“, dark and obscure tones are predominant in his compositions, with connotations between the delicate, the abrasive and the infected. A characteristic that identifies him is his reluctance to restrictions, he likes to be able to freely explore the soundscapes without any preconception or direction of any kind, his compositional approach is visceral, at times mystical and archaic, not influenced by aesthetic standards and predefined goals .
“Music is Being“. He has always been fascinated by the unknown, the unusual and all that is out of the ordinary; the immense curiosity, the taste, the scientific imprinting and the transversality of his knowledge, allowed him to generate a wide range of sound experiences (Editor’s note).
Kevin Follet’s first single “Iperione”, is now available on Youtube via Radial
