It’s been a little quiet in recent times for Bradford (UK) dark-wave electro rockers They Called Him Zone since the release of their last single ‘Death Drive’ (late 2017), and now we can confirm further delays are expected for their debut album ‘God Sex Death Sin’.
Says TCHZ founder Mik Davis – ‘ Between the band and the record label, unfortunate events, bereavements and long-term illnesses have blighted the recording and release of our debut album – we’re currently still finishing off the album and looking forward to performing shows in Leeds, London and York over the next few months. We’re just trying to stay positive through this difficult period, knowing that we’re heading in the right direction. Fans in the ‘know’ have sent positive messages, however, we’re a very private band and never really say too much about life outside of the band – recently that side of life has affected our moral and output – it was unavoidable.’
In the wake of what appears to be only poor and unfortunate news for the band, Mik Davis hinted at the possible release of a free track produced by a well known cult figure, the unnamed project was only referred to, by Mik as ‘ our own take on a dark American punk tune’… watch this space ‘zoners’.
