Arro AKA Ben Jones is the latest project from the Huddersfield born, Manchester dwelling musician who has, over the years, supported a number of huge acts including The Charlatans, The Stranglers and Badly Drawn Boy to name just a few.
He cites his influences as anything from Jehst to Jeff Buckley and started playing the guitar from the age of 7 years old after finding his Dad’s old acoustic.
Ben then went on to form many bands in his teens and early twenties but after teaming up with engineer Jack Beech last year, he now prefers to work on his own. Last December saw the release of his debut EP ‘Middle of The Night’ where he gained worldwide airplay and the single ‘Fever’, taken from it, had various BBC stations picking it as a favourite.
His new EP ‘Twilight’ will be released later this year but the title track will be out on 2nd October. If The Killers were from Yorkshire and had been living in Manchester for a few years you’d expect that they may sound a little like this little Indie gem. Play it loud!
