We’re thrilled to announce our first additions to Transmissions IX (Ravenna, 25-27 November 2016) curated by Bruno Dorella (OvO, Ronin, Bachi Da Pietra).
Norwegian electronic jazz-house cult-collective Jaga Jazzist, NYC transgendered hip hop icon Mykki Blanco, Arcade Fire’s violinist and composer Sarah Neufeld will join the festival in November.
The first batch of names also includes Swiss multimedia artist Feldermelder, bizarre black metal ritual Azdora with Markus Öhrn and Stefania Alos Pedretti, American pedal steel guitarist and sonic impro veteran Heather Leigh, and from France math-rock/avant trio Le Singe Blanc and multi-sensory noise project Klaus Lega.
Among the Italian acts who are taking part in this ninth edition, we can confirm underground hip hop hero Moder, minimalist composer Nicola Ratti, soundscape electronic artist Giovanni Lami and experimental multi-instrumentalist and guitarist Luca Maria Baldini aka In Between.
